Reggae songs that may contribute to discrimination
While listening to music, sometimes I hear a song that has a very slight connection to this conflict. I don't want to place them on the main page, but I feel like sharing some toughts.

Banking In The Pig (1999) – Midnite
.....Album: Ras Mek Peace (October 12, 1999) (Wildchild Records)
.....Lyrics: Not found
.....NOTE: This Midnite song is refering to transvestite .They quote Bugs Bunny dressing in drag as being a bad example for the kids. Lyrics Chorus: Banking in the Filtiest Thing... See how them teach the youth to play, Cookie Monster making a mess everyday, Bugs Bunny is a transvestite I say, Yosemite Sam pull is gun, When he can’t get his way.

Dutty Road (2008) – Alborosie
.....Album: Soul Pirate (August 5, 2008) (Forward Recording)
......Lyrics: Found
.....NOTE: This song is not about male homosexuality, but criticize anal sex as being a very bad habbit. Everyone is entitled to express themselves about sexual practices and what they consider acceptable or not. But you have to admit, in a Caribbean context, it just reinforce prejudices. The chorus and verse goes: 'Dem walk on dutty road, Jah, Full a garbagebin and cockroach, Jah... You practice sodoma with likkle C-C, Lucy and Fay' (the person who wrote the lyrics is unsure about the three girls names). On the same album, in the song BAD MIND, Alborosie use the expression 'dutty sissy' (dirty gay) when he refers to a critic that did like his music (I've been searching the Internet for a more elaborate explaination, but haven't found it so far). Alborosie is a reggae singer originated from Sicily, Italia, that now lives in Jamaica. To my taste, he is among the great musicians from the newest generation of reggae singers. He deserve some credits for taking a vocal stand on homophobia in dancehall music (see the chapter COMMENTS FROM THE INDUSTRY on this website).
